Ceviche Tapas Bar is pleased to announce the appointment of Miguel Aguilar as Executive Chef. As a multi-award-winning chef, his culinary achievements will bring a new dimension to the restaurant signature cuisine.

Originally from Peru, Chef Miguel brings over 20 years of Peruvian Cuisine experience to Ceviche. Formally trained under Iron Chef Bobby Flay he developed a passion for gourmet cuisine strongly engrained in his heritage, creative flair and a nose for quality, making him a bonafide Peruvian Cuisine Master. He has been named by many “The Best Peruvian Executive Chef in New York City”  

His wealth of experience coupled with his natural charm, Chef Miguel is delighted to bring his culinary traditions and expertise to Ceviche Tapas Bar in East Harlem, New York. 

“To be a chef, simply knowing how to cook is not enough. Cuisine, in the conventional way, is, of course, about good food, but also about sensations, style, ambience, a certain way of serving, it’s a direct relationship and interaction with the customer… The experience as a whole is what brings guests back smiling time and again,” notes Chef Miguel, as he aims to please on every level, with his authentic cooking flair expertly delivered on every plate.

Having a constant drive to find a new angle, and never satisfied with yesterday’s accomplishments he is always striving for a new inspiration. Drawing his influence from fresh ingredients complimented by an intriguing array of flavors from around the world, his eclectic yet harmonious cuisine brings a dynamic perspective to classic techniques.
